Inspection End User Steps

Inspections are performed to verify that the products a supplier provides are in alignment with a manufacturer's quality standards. The following types of inspection are performed in Inspection Management:

• Incoming - Incoming inspections are created from receiving information entered in the ERP system.
• Random - Random inspections are inspections that can be conducted at any time and are not specific to the incoming inspection process.
• Rework - Rework inspections are inspections that are conducted as a result of nonconforming part. If a manufacturer has the ability to rework a part without sending it back to the supplier, then they can use the Rework inspection type.

The Inspection Management application is comprised of the following user steps and alternate actions which may, or may not be required based on your company inspection process:

• Viewing a Receipt
• Creating a Rework or Random Inspection
• Creating an Incoming Inspection
• Defining an Inspection Plan
• Performing an Inspection
• Entering Data in the Data Grid
• Confirming an Inspection
• Inspection Other Actions

User Rights

The following rights must be assigned to a user for that user to manage or view inspections:

Rights	Description
INSP_VIEW	Allows the user to view inspections.
INSP_CREATE	Allows the administrator to create an Inspection record.
INSP_EDIT	Allows the administrator to edit an Inspection record.
INSP_DELETE	Allows the user to delete inspections.
INSP_SUPERVISOR	Allows the administrator to manage an Inspection record.
